Combat Protections
Fight fair. Stay protected. Combat Protections keep PvP honest on HyperBlocks — no cheap log-outs mid-fight, clear rules, and a second chance when life happens.
What Is Combat Protections?
When you trade blows with another player, you enter a short combat window. While you’re in combat, the network watches for people who try to escape by disconnecting. That’s called combat logging — and Combat Protections is built to stop it from wrecking fair fights.
You still get thrilling PvP. You just don’t get to vanish the second things go badly.
How Combat Starts
Hit another player (or get hit) and you’re tagged for about 30 seconds. Keep fighting and the timer refreshes. When the timer runs out with no more hits, combat ends and you’re free to leave normally again.
- Flight turns off while you’re in combat (no flying out of a fight)
- Stay in the fight or wait out the timer — those are your clean exits
Combat Logging — What Happens
If you log out, crash out, or disconnect while still in combat, that counts as a combat log. The server treats it seriously so victims aren’t cheated out of a fair finish.
Good news: every player gets one free combat-log allowance per calendar month (Eastern time). Use it when your internet dies or Minecraft crashes — we get it. After that freebie is used, further combat logs in the same month take the full penalty.
After a kill-path combat log, shortcuts like /back and /dback stay blocked for about five minutes so nobody can abuse death returns.
Duels
Want a clean 1v1? Use the duel system:
/hyperduel— open or manage duels (also/hduelor/duel)
Challenge a friend, settle the score, and keep the rest of the world out of it.
Why You’ll Love It
- Fair fights — logging mid-combat doesn’t erase the battle
- Real-life grace — one free combat-log each month when bad luck strikes
- Clear rules — you always know when you’re in combat and when you’re safe to leave
- Duels ready — structured 1v1 when you want it
